Our solution elevates in-person fundraising by enabling easy - and fun - giving for your organization's audience. Whether you're looking to capture donations at events or at a dedicated location, Kind Kiosk is always ready to increase your ability to accept donations, and more.

Dedicated Kiosks

While we know the easiest way to think about using Kind Kiosk is at fundraising events, we want to ensure you know that it's just as easy to make the most of a Dedicated Kiosk. Kiosks can be set up in your organization's lobby to capture community members, volunteers, and Board Members attention when they visit. Not only can the Kiosk accept donations from these visitors, but you can use the Kiosk's other workflows to sell memberships, day passes, physical items, log volunteer hours, and even share information about your organization and the work that you do through a series of customizable screens with text and video.

If you don't have a physical location where you accept visitors, there are still many ways to use a Dedicated Kiosk. Due to it ease of use, the Kiosk does not need to be manned by a staff member or volunteer, so you can lend it out for community events or find a partner to host the Kiosk on your organization's behalf.

Find a Community Partner

It's common to ask a local retail store or restaurant to support your organization, but that often means asking them to donate a portion of their revenue - something not all businesses are able to do. Instead, ask them to host your Kind Kiosk! As it takes up less than two square feet, it's easy for a restaurant, coffee shop, or retail store to place your Kiosk at their entrance or register. This allows the business to show their support for your organization's mission simply by encouraging their patrons to donate. Additionally, you can help drive your donor base to the business by encouraging them to visit Kiosk at its location - turning it into a mutually beneficial partnership!

By placing your Kiosk at local community businesses, you're also expanding your potential donor audience. The customizable banner and home screen with your organization's logo allows for quick recognition, and the custom workflows also allow you further educate the audience about the organization's mission and work. The ability to capture the donor's email address during the donation process means that you can follow up with the new audience to engage them further in your organization and move them through your donor cycle.

Lend it Out

Another way to expand your donor audience is to lend your Kiosk to volunteers and Board Members who want to help fundraise. As a nonprofit, we know your staff is often limited in its ability to attend community events or be present for volunteer-led events. By offering a "lending" program to trusted volunteers, you expand your organization's ability to accept secure donations even without your staff in attendance.

Additionally, we recommend tasking your Board Members to place the Kiosk at their own businesses, Holiday parties, and helping find community partners to host the Kiosk. This is a great way for your Board to stay involved and committed to your fundraising success without requiring a large time commitment.

Event Kiosks

Now that we've covered the ways you can use a Dedicated Kiosk, let's talk about Event Kiosks and how they elevate event fundraising!

We know just how important events are for your organization, that's why our Event Kiosks are the perfect solution to elevate your fundraising in a new, fun, and easy way! There are many ways to accept donations at events - Text to Give, QR codes, mobile credit card readers, or even accepting cash or checks - but these options don't stand out to your attendees or create an experience. Kind Kiosk does! Our team will help you create a strategic plan of when and where to use Kiosks after learning more about your organization and upcoming events during your custom demo.

Placing the Kiosks just past the entrance of the event allows attendees to make quick donations before they enjoy the event, putting them in high traffic areas (near a raffle table, or the bar) helps increase the number of donations, and using your staff or volunteers to educate attendees about the Kiosks is a great way to encourage donors! If your event has a program, we recommend the event MC calls out the Kiosks - where they are in the room and how to use them. This will help drive foot traffic to the Kiosk and let donors know they can make easy, credit card donations.

Utilizing the Features

At Kind Kiosk, we create features based on our the needs and wants of our customers. This means that we are constantly evolving our solution to add features, workflows, and other customizations. But, let's review the current features to ensure you're maximizing the potential of your Kiosk.

Setting Up Your Kiosk

When you receive your Kiosk, it takes just 10 minutes to set up the physical device out of the box! The web-based Dashboard allows you to customize what you see on the tablet screen. You can customize the donation button amounts, the text, and add your organization's logo. Additionally, you can choose what information you want to collect from the donor during the donation process - we recommend keeping it simple to just their email address, but you can require more if necessary. As soon as you change the settings in your Dashboard, the Kiosk will update automatically with any changes.

Note: Donors can elect to remain anonymous when making their donation. We recommend keeping this feature turned on, but you are able to disable if needed.

Accepting In-Person Donations

There are many ways to accept in-person donations, but is your organization making it as easy as possible for your donors? With a Kind Kiosk, the process is quick and easy. During the setup process, you can choose what donation amounts you would like shown as buttons, plus the donor can always select their own donation amount. Once they've made their donation, the donor completes the transaction using the attached credit card reader that accepts card insert or swipes, tap-to-pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Even better, your donor can choose to create a recurring donation right at the Kiosk! By offering an easy way to sign up for recurring monthly donations, you're saving time and effort of converting a one-time donor through marketing and development efforts.

Donor Covered Fees

Allow the donor to choose if they want to cover the credit card processing fees associated with their donation. This option is given to the donor during the transaction process, meaning you don't have to have this feature turned on or off for all donors using the Kiosk. When a donor chooses to cover the fees, your organization receives 100% of the intended donation!

Custom Receipting

Receipts - what every donor wants and every finance team members stresses about! With Kind Kiosk, donors receive an emailed receipt once their transaction is processed. You can customize what the receipt says through the Dashboard, allowing you to keep the messaging aligned with your other fundraising solutions.

Note: While these receipts can be used as official gift receipts, your organization might have a process they need to follow so you can always add a message on the receipt that you will follow up with an official tax receipt at a later date.

Designations

Designations are meant to help your organization's Finance team. In the Dashboard, you can create designations for how you want donations made at the Kiosk to be "coded". This makes it super simple to use your Kiosk for different fundraising campaigns or evaluating the success of an event because you'll be able to see a report of how many donations were made to each designation!

If your organization already uses campaigns within an existing Donor CRM, our team can work with you to map these to Kind Kiosk designations. Additionally, this data can sync back to your existing CRM, allowing Kind Kiosk to integrate perfectly with your existing setup. Note: This custom work is offered at an additional cost.

Workflows

What's a workflow? Well, simply put, it's the flow of what is shown on the Kiosk's tablet screen. It might sound simple, but these customizable workflows are what set Kind Kiosk apart and allow your organization to make an impact with every donor. Every Kiosk comes pre-programmed with the Donation Workflow, but you can upgrade to gain access to the Information Workflow or Commerce Workflow. These workflows are fully customized by our team for your organization.

With the Informational Workflow, you're able to utilize the Kiosk to share information about your organization, a specific exhibit, a donation campaign, or collect information.

If you're looking to use the Kiosk to sell memberships, day passes, or even physical items, then the Commerce Workflow is perfect for you!

There are so many ways to maximize the use of your Kind Kiosk, our team is always here to help you better understand how to do just that!
