What's New with Kind Kiosk (April & May 2024)
Welcome to our monthly recap series! As we mentioned in our March update, at the end of each month in 2024 we will highlight important milestones and updates around the Kind Kiosk product and the company.
Unfortunately, we were so heads down that we missed the April recap!
What's new with the product?
In April and May we launched a new website, added Event Kiosks, made some big improvements to the organization dashboard, and added guides to help with frequently asked questions. We also added Custom Workflows, which are currently in private beta.
New Website
The original site worked well for launch, but we made some major updates with more information about our product. Most notably, we now offer Dedicated Kiosks and Event Kiosks. If you need a flexible always-on kiosk you want a Dedicated Kiosk. If however, you just need to take donations for a yearly Gala, you should check out our new Event Kiosks offering. Special shoutout to our design team for painstakingly re-creating our kiosks digitally!
Event Kiosks
We've had many questions around short-term kiosks. You might have a yearly gala, or twice-a-year company party. We're excited to announce the ability to deploy multiple kiosks throughout your event's venue to facilitate donations at any time. People tend to wait in line for the bar or a photo booth. Those are great opportunities to capture donations!
All Event Kiosks come with a custom banner for your event. If you need help designing one, just let us know! Discounts are available for higher volumes or if you already have a Dedicated Kiosk.
Custom Workflows
Customers have also asked for ways to add custom functionality to the kiosk. We're excited to announce the availability of custom workflows for Dedicated Kiosks on a paid plan. Workflows are flexible modules and allow you to do everything from sell memberships to log volunteer hours. Have a custom need and want to see if we can support it with workflows? Reach out and let us know.
Organization Dashboard
The organization dashboard is live and ready for use. In addition to an overview and stats for all of your donations, it allows you to:
- See if your kiosks are online
- Manage configurations
- and much more!
Onboarding
We completely reworked onboarding for new customers. After payment, we walk you through creating an account and setting up Stripe. From there, you'll see real-time status of your kiosk order as we're getting it configured and shipped out to you.
Guides
We added a guides section to the website to help explain everything from kiosk setup to returns. We will continue to add new guides based on questions from current or potential customers.
What's new with the company?
We've finished manufacturing a custom card reader shelf, and began some new partnerships.
We have a new card reader shelf!
After exhausting existing options, we decided to create our own custom card reader shelf. Most card reader solutions are bulky. Our goal was to create something streamlined and minimal, but still place the card reader in a comfortable position for inserting a credit card or using tap to pay with phones or credit cards.
Partnership with Stripe
We have started the process of becoming an official Stripe partner for Embedded Payments, and plan to complete the necessary requirements over the next month. The team at Echobind is already a Stripe Specialized Partner for Services Implementation, and we're excited for Kind Kiosk to reach similar milestones in the future.
Partnership with Fundraise Up
We have also started a partnership with Fundraise Up. If you're currently a customer, look for some exciting Kind Kiosk updates coming your way soon. If you aren't a customer and are on the lookout for a platform to level-up the digital fundraising on your site, check them out.
Wrapping up
As always, we'd love to hear from you! Let us know what features you're excited about or any questions you have. Until next time!
