Monthly Giving Upsell on Handhelds

Your best chance to create a monthly donor is the moment they've already decided to give. Handheld devices can now make the ask for you.

A gentle, well-timed ask

After a donor picks a one-time amount, the handheld can suggest turning it into a monthly gift. The suggested monthly amounts are calculated automatically from what the donor indicated they wanted to give, so the ask always feels reasonable. One tap accepts; declining continues the one-time gift with no friction.

You control the message

Enable the upsell from your donation settings and customize the prompt text to match your voice. It's off by default, so nothing changes until you're ready.

Renewals that just work

When a donor taps their card for a monthly gift, it's securely saved for future renewals, so recurring donations keep arriving month after month.

Improvements

  • HandheldThe contact form now puts first and last name on separate lines, renders links in your email opt-in text, and offers a Skip button on optional questions.

Fixes

  • HandheldFailed payments can now be retried on the spot: try a different card, or change the amount, without starting over.
  • HandheldThe donation headline now shrinks to fit so the custom amount button always stays on screen.
