Kind KioskvsMOHID

Built for the ten minutes after Jummah

MOHID runs the masjid office. Kind Kiosk is built for capturing in-person giving.

Two different jobs

MOHID is management software for the whole masjid, where the kiosk is one of eleven products. Kind Kiosk is the in-person giving specialist: we build the software, source the kiosks it runs on, and support every part of it.

MOHIDMasjid management software

A back office for the whole masjid: memberships, Zakat records, hall bookings, weekend school registration, announcements, a website, and a donation kiosk that plugs into all of it.

  • Zakat and Fitra disbursement, applicant to approval
  • Membership, scheduling, program registration
  • Announcements by email and SMS
  • Prayer time signage, community app, website
Kind KioskDonation kiosks

One job, done properly: the giving experience in front of your community. Three hardware models, tap to give in seconds, and kiosks you can rent for a single season.

  • Handheld, tabletop, and full size, for every giving point
  • Tap to give in seconds, on every model
  • A dedicated screen for Zakat, Sadaqah, or the masjid fund
  • Rent for Ramadan and Eid, or keep one year round

Most masjids we talk to don't need to choose. Keep the software that runs your office, and put a better device in front of the people walking past it.

The honest answer

Which one fits you?

Sometimes it's both. Here's the clearest way to choose.

Kind Kioskif…
  • In-person giving is where most of your money comes in, and speed at the door matters
  • You want more than one giving point: the lobby, the hall, and a handheld for Ramadan nights
  • You run Ramadan nights or Eid bazaars and want kiosks only for those weeks
  • You want DAF gifts, matching, and giving data flowing into the CRM your board already uses
MOHIDmight fit if…
  • You need Zakat and Fitra tracked from collection through disbursement
  • You want membership, hall bookings, and weekend school registration on one bill
  • Your website, community app, and prayer time screens should come from one vendor
  • You'd rather have one system of record than the best device in the lobby

FAQ

Common questions

Something else? Talk to our team →

Do we have to leave MOHID to use Kind Kiosk?

No. MOHID is masjid management software with a kiosk among its products, and most masjids we work with keep the software that runs their office. Kind Kiosk is the giving hardware in the lobby and at events. If you already have membership, Zakat records, and hall bookings somewhere, leave them there and add the kiosk.

Does Kind Kiosk handle Zakat?

Yes, for collecting it. Zakat can be its own fund on the kiosk, so donors choose it directly and every gift is tagged and reported that way.

You can also go further and build a kiosk configuration just for Zakat: its own screen, its own suggested amounts, its own wording. Switch to it for Ramadan, or run it on a second kiosk next to your general giving screen. Those gifts sync to your CRM by fund like any other.

What Kind Kiosk doesn't do is the disbursement side: tracking applicants, reviewing eligibility, and approving payments out to recipients. That stays in whatever software runs your office.

How fast is a gift at the kiosk?

Tap to give in seconds. That matters most in the ten minutes after Jummah or Taraweeh, when a few hundred people leave at once. A slow screen means a line, and a line means people walk past.

Can we use kiosks just for Ramadan or Eid?

Yes. Event kiosks rent for up to three months, in any of the three models, with a cellular plan included so you're not depending on hall Wi-Fi. Plenty of masjids start with a rental for Ramadan and keep a kiosk in the lobby afterward.

Which payment methods work on the kiosk?

Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, QR code, and Donor Advised Fund gifts, on every Kind Kiosk model. Donors can also cover the processing fee at checkout.
