Kind Kioskvstiptap

A kiosk, not
just a tap.

A tap is quick and simple. Kind Kiosk goes a step further, letting donors choose their gift, pick a fund, and pay any way, all on one screen.

Two ways to give in person.

Both make in-person giving easy. The difference is how far the donor experience goes once they walk up.

Common questions

How is Kind Kiosk different from tiptap?

tiptap is a contactless tap device with one fixed amount per unit, so donors tap and they're done. Kind Kiosk is a full touchscreen kiosk: donors choose an amount, pick a fund, pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay or QR code, and can opt into your mailing list, all on one device.

Can donors choose their own amount?

On Kind Kiosk, yes, right on the device. You set customizable donation buttons and a custom-amount option on one screen, and change them anytime. With tiptap, a fixed-denomination device is one set amount, and its custom device directs donors to your online fundraising page on their own phone, so the choice happens off the device.

Do you support recurring gifts, DAF and matching?

Yes. Kind Kiosk supports recurring gifts, Donor Advised Funds and donation matching on every plan, plus mailing-list opt-in. Recurring giving is standard for Kind Kiosk, while tiptap currently lists monthly recurring as “coming soon.” Kind Kiosk gifts also sync into the donor tools you already use, like Bloomerang, Blackbaud RE NXT and Salesforce, so donor data doesn't stay stuck on a dashboard.

Does the kiosk need Wi-Fi?

You can connect over Wi-Fi or cellular, whichever suits the space. A tap device like tiptap is cellular-only, which is simple but ties you to cell coverage; Kind Kiosk gives you the choice.

How does pricing compare?

Kind Kiosk hardware is a one-time cost from $299 to $599, subscriptions start at $54 a month ($49 billed annually), each additional kiosk is $19 a month, and payments carry a flat 3% platform fee plus standard processor fees. tiptap is sold as subscription bundles (six-month or annual) that include the devices, displays and setup, with current figures on their store. Because each fixed device shows a single amount, offering several set amounts usually means adding more devices. We're happy to walk through a side-by-side for your setup.
