What is Kind Kiosk?

Kind Kiosk provides donation kiosks that modernize in-person fundraising for nonprofits. Our kiosks accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit cards, QR codes, and Donor Advised Funds, making it easy for visitors to donate in the moment. We offer both dedicated kiosks for permanent installations and event kiosks for temporary use at galas, conferences, and fundraising events.

Who is Kind Kiosk for?

Kind Kiosk is designed for nonprofits of all sizes including museums, libraries, houses of worship, animal shelters, theaters, educational institutions, and any organization that wants to capture donations from in-person visitors. We serve organizations running fundraising events like galas and conferences, as well as those seeking permanent donation solutions.

What's the difference between Dedicated Kiosks and Event Kiosks?

Dedicated Kiosks are designed for permanent or semi-permanent installations at locations like museums, libraries, or offices. You purchase the hardware and pay a monthly/annual subscription.

Event Kiosks are rentals for temporary use at galas, conferences, 5Ks, or other fundraising events. Ship them back when you're done!

How much does Kind Kiosk cost?

Dedicated Kiosk pricing

Dedicated Kiosks require a one-time hardware purchase and a subscription plan.

Hardware:
• Handheld Device: $299
• Tabletop Kiosk: $399
• Full Size Kiosk: $499
• Heavy Duty Kiosk: $699

Subscription Plans:
• Community: $54/month ($588/year) - Up to 3 devices, Community Integrations (donation matching and donor advised funds).
• Growth: $164/month ($1,788/year) - Unlimited devices, all integrations, custom workflows
• Enterprise: Custom pricing

Event Kiosk pricing

Event Kiosks are priced per unit.

• Handheld Device: $149
• Tabletop Kiosk: $249
• Full Size Kiosk: $299

What are the transaction fees?

Credit Card processing
Stripe charges a 2.7% fee for "card present" transactions.
Kind Kiosk has a 3% platform fee.

DAF processing
Chariot charges a 2.9% fee for DAF gifts.
Kind Kiosk has a 1.9% platform fee.

In either case, donors have the option to cover these fees at checkout, which increases the net donation amount to your organization. If covered, it includes all fees.

Is there a contract or commitment?

Dedicated Kiosk subscriptions have an annual commitment, but have flexible payment terms - you can choose monthly or annual billing.

Event Kiosk rentals are per-event with no ongoing commitment.

Features & Functionality

What payment methods do Kind Kiosks accept?

Kind Kiosks accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit card tap/insert. Donors can also give via QR codes or a Donor Advised Funds (DAF) through our integration with DAFpay.

Can I customize the donation flow?

Yes! You can customize donation amounts, add your organization's logo and branding, modify the thank you message, and ask any question you'd like as part of the contact information flow. Growth and Enterprise plans include advanced customization like informational workflows for mailing list signups, volunteer hour tracking, surveys, and commerce workflows for selling memberships or items.

What is a custom workflow?

Custom workflows allow you to use your kiosk for purposes beyond donations. Examples include:

  • Collecting email addresses for your mailing list
  • Logging volunteer hours with waiver signature and clock in/out functionality
  • Conducting surveys and gathering feedback
  • Creating interactive exhibits or experiences
  • Selling memberships and products

Custom workflows are available on Growth and Enterprise plans.

Do you offer a live leaderboard for events?

Yes! Event Kiosks include a live leaderboard feature that displays donations in real-time on a large screen. This creates excitement and encourages giving throughout your event. The leaderboard includes donations from all payment methods, including Donor Advised Funds.

How do donors receive receipts?

Donors can ask for an email receipt when making a donation. Receipts are sent instantly. You can customize receipts to include relevant information like your EIN.

Setup & Implementation

How long does setup take?

Setup is quick and straightforward. Your kiosk arrives pre-configured. All you should need to do is setup the stand and connect to wifi. Setup typically takes 10-30 minutes.

Do I need technical expertise to use Kind Kiosk?

No technical expertise is required. Kind Kiosk is designed to be user-friendly with an intuitive dashboard for managing all settings. Setup involves simple configuration steps, and our support team is available to help via text, phone, email, or caht if needed.

Integrations

What integrations does Kind Kiosk support?

Kind Kiosk integrates with major donor management systems including:

  • Bloomerang
  • Salesforce (comming soon)
  • Blackbaud Raiser's Edge (coming soon)
  • Tessitura (coming soon)

We also integrate with Chariot's DAFpay for Donor Advised Fund processing, Double the Donation for matching gifts, and Stripe for payment processing.

What kind of support do you provide?

We provide email and phone support for all customers. Our help center at guides.kindkiosk.com includes setup guides, troubleshooting resources, and FAQs. Enterprise customers receive priority support.
